This is a simple task. Punching keys into the keyboards. Intermittent with space-bar and enter. But for the past one week I have been procrastinating to write. I read some books, three to be exact, Writing Down The Bones, Pinball 1973, Like Flowing River, to be detail, and not writing. Taking notes and collections quotes on writers. This isn’t writing also. And surfing YouTube in the name of ‘research’. Not writing.
I’m getting a little crazy.
The above paragraph took me five days to write. Five days of thinking and erasing. Then five minutes to type it out.
Have you thought you are crazy or a nutcase to be not writing for one week when you claim that you are a writer? Or maybe being a writer is in itself an insane act?
I needed some medication to this ailment and I found it in where writers find. Books.
*I’m in the local library now and there’s this old man that’s chanting some undecipherable scriptures… I’m getting mad…
